This weekend starts off with a few cool events leading to an action packed Saturday.

Science of Beer

One of Durham’s Museum of Life and Science’s Adult Only (21+) events takes places after the museum closes to the general public.  The event will have local breweries tastings and workshops led by Gizmo Brew Works and Bull City Home Brew with Captain Poncho’s, Only Burger, and Pie Pushers on hand for food.  The event is a ticketed event and the museum warns it will sell out.  For details check out the event page.

Clayton Concert Series

Nantucket from Jacksonville, NC will perform in the last for this year’s concert series.  Deep River is not far from the Town Square, so you can enjoy local beer and Chirba Chirba for a pre-concert drink.  Also, at the even is D’Burritos.  Details on the event can be found here.

It’s Apartment Life, for us.

For awhile I’ve noticed food trucks have been parking at Manor 6, Tribute, and the newly open 605 West.  But it seems to have exploded recently to many other neighborhoods.  Tonight I saw scheduled:

Make Plans For…

Some events to think about this weekend…

Friday brings two events revolving around music, White Plains Back to School event and Friday Night Tributes.  Saturday is not a quiet day by any means.  In addition to the Farmers Markets and Breweries, there are two rodeos going in the Eastern Triangle with Double Barley and Clayton’s Harvest Festival.  In Southern Wake County, you can be sharp at Apex Jazz Fest. Also, Taylor’s Wine Shop has a party planned, NC State has trucks for Family Weekend, and a Gouge Pro Wrestling event at Raleigh Brewing.  Out west, you can find trucks at Carousel Festival in Burlington and Festa Italiana in Ronda.   Sunday is no slouch either, with another day of Carousel, a Southern Village Food Truck Rodeo, and Corktoberfest at the Raleigh Wine Shop.
