Apr 11-13: Food Truck Weekend Wanderings

Here are some Food Truck events going on the weekend of April 11th through the 13th

April 11-13: Food Truck Wanderings

CRANK FOR A CAUSE 2014

Crank for a Cause 2014

I talked to Deli-icious Truck on Tuesday and they let me know they were going to be at Crank Arm Brewery on Friday for CRANK FOR A CAUSE 2014 (benefiting the American Diabetes Association).  This is Crank Arm Brewery’s First Block Party featuring Beers, Bikes, and Bands.  Sounds like my kind of event!

Live and Local Hillsborough Street

Live and Local Hillsborough Street is a local event highlighting local Hillsborough Street businesses.  There is mention of food trucks, but I haven’t seen a confirm listing. For more details, see their site or Facebook Page.

Sol Tacos at Apex Farmers Market

If you missed him at Cary Creative Center‘s campaign, make plans for a trip to Apex Farmers Market. My goal is to add him on my Raleigh > Apex > Pittsboro (I’m telling you The Phoenix Bakery is awesome) > Charlotte > Winston-Salem > Raleigh day trip (and I’ll drive 500 more…)  While I want to fist bump Andy, I really want to check out Kermit’s new paint in person.  Also, he’s planning something special this visit…

NC Food Truck Rodeo

On the second Sunday of every month, Grove Winery organizes a Food Truck Rodeo.  This Sunday, Captain Ponchos, Urban Street Grill, Jam Ice Cream, Camel City Grill, Fish N Wings, Natty Greene’s, and the Pink Culture Truck (a Fashion Truck!)  This rodeo has been on my list and with the Spring finally here, I think my list will be checked off.

Burke Street Food Truck Festival

Burke Street Food Truck Festival

I wrote about this one awhile back and sure enough this weekend is finally here.  I still have this circled as many Triad trucks (and a few Triangle ones) will be here.  I am very curious to see the scene here.  For their full line-up, see their Facebook Page.

Charlotte Food Fight

Charlotte Food Fight 2014

The net proceeds of this event will benefit Relay For Life with 13 Charlotte Food Trucks fighting for attendees votes.  I’ve been to Queen’s City scene before, but I am very interested to how this event will be organized.  This is a ticketed event for details, see their Eventbrite site.

Rock N Roll Marathon

An event that has been a highlight for the city of Raleigh.  I never thought to ask the question, but thanks Triangle Explorer for asking on Twitter.  So far, Tailgater Toby’s and Chirba Chirba responded about setting up for the event.  Update: Thanks to a tweet by Mike Robson, it looks like Humble Pig (Red Hat Amphitheater) and Sarge’s Chef will also be there.

Sweet Traditions in Triangle Town Center

Also, if you are in the Triangle Town Center area, please check out Sweet Traditions kiosk in the Food Court (Creekside Cafes).  They are there only on the weekends and post their daily flavors on Facebook.

If you have an event that involves Food Trucks, please contact me and I’d I’ll add this to my calendar page and re-highlight it in the weekend recap.
