Last weekend seemed kind of light in regards to events, this weekend seems to be a huge weekend. Unfortunately, I’m wandering so I won’t be able to make it to any of these events!
Thursday, May 15th, Southern Village Food Truck Rodeo (US 15-501 and Market Street, Chapel Hill). This looks to be the start of the Southern Village Farmers Market. Food trucks that will be here: Baguettaboutit, Chirba Chirba, and Parlez Vous Crepe.
FRIDAY

Friday, May 16th: Relay For Life Rodeo – RegEd’s 2nd Food Truck Rodeo will have Chick-N-Que, Gussy’s Greek Truck, LadyBugz Treats, and Stuft all at 2100 Gateway Drive in Morrisville. Friday, May 16th, Brier Creek Elementary Spring Carnival, 5-8 PM (Facebook Event Page). Trucks scheduled Baguettaboutit and Porchetta.
SATURDAY
Saturday, May 17th: Flora and Food Truck Series at Fairview Garden Center in Raleigh. This is the last of the series, but this a great line-up: Deliicious, CJ Street Food, Chirba Chirba, Mama Dukes and JAM Ice Cream. They have tables here so you can eat comfortably. Also, if you haven’t done finished your gardening, the staff here is awesome. Both trips I made out there, they have been very helpful.
Saturday, May 17th, Knightdale Station (810 North First Avenue) Food Truck Rodeo 11am-2pm. Find Baguettaboutit, Barone Meatball, Chai’s Global Street Food, Chick-N-Que, Gussy’s Greek Food, Kona Ice, and Sweet and Savory.
Saturday, May 17th: Yelp Heats Up (Alter Ego Salon, Raleigh). Alter Ego Salon is launching their Blow Dry Bar with an event with multiple activities. They will have food tastings from CJ’s Street Food, Deli-icioius, PHAT Wrapz, and Porchetta. Double Barley Brewing (Smithfield brewery) and Mad Housewife wine pouring drinks. They will also collect money for Raleigh City Farms. For more details and RSVP, go to Yelp’s Event site.
Saturday, May 17th: Meals on Wheels (Durham Central Park). Music and Trucks will be on hand to support the Meals On Wheels program. Bag of Llamas and Durham Jazz Messengers will play music. While Chick-N-Que, Only Burger, Parlez Vous Crepe, and Valentino’s will serve up food. Fullsteam will also be there serving beer. More info can be found at the Durham Central Park’s website.
SUNDAY
Sunday, May 18th: The Return of VinoBurger. American Meltdown and Sweetwater New York Ice Co. are partnering with Raleigh Wine Shop for an interesting event. In addition to American Meltdown’s traditional menu, they will also make a few recipes from VinoBurger’s book. Event is from 12-4pm
Sunday, May 18th Baguettaboutit will be at Urban Outfitters at Southpoint Mall from 7-9 PM.
