10 Year Anniversary American Tobacco Block Party

The area that introduced me to the City of Medicine, American Tobacco District is celebrating 10 years today with a block party celebration.  There will be music performances, food trucks, and other performances.  There is a full schedule of events at the American Tobacco’s website.

Food Trucks: Only Burger, Kokyu, The Parlour, American Meltdown, Philly’s Cheesesteaks, Barone Meatball, Gussy’s and Chirba Chirba.

Located: Blackwell Street & Diamond View Park. Free parking available two parking decks: 705 Willard Street and 305 West Pettigrew Street.

Duke Memorial United Methodist Church: Church-wide Fall Kick-Off

The event that was formerly named The Gathering kicks offs today at Noon.  The food trucks here will be Humble PigBaguettaboutit, Liv’s and Captain Poncho’s.

Located: 504 W. Chapel Hill Street, Durham

The 95X Big Shindig

Local Rock Station has a big festival concert with a lineup that includes Weezer, Foster The People, Fitz and The Tantrums, Fuel, and more.

Waypoint Church Food Truck Fellowship

September 7th, Waypoint Church in Durham will launch their first public service at 4pm.  The line-up announced was Halal Bros, Hanu, and Not Just Icing.
