June 15th Durham Rodeo Recap – Part 1

We are deep into the season and Durham kicked off another one in its series in Downtown Durham’s Central Park.  I have to go back to the Triangle Food Truck Historical Society (an idea of mine, but just funding has been tight) to confirm that these Durham rodeos were the birthplace of the rodeo.  With that in mind, it is no surprise as these are very well run, entertaining with live music, and plenty of green space to kick soccer balls, lay down a blanket or chairs.

For those of you that went, check out some reminders of an awesome time.  For those that missed it, feel free to catch some of the highlights.  I got a new lens for my camera.  As a result, gadgets and me is like a kid with a new toy.  We will have Part 1 today with undetermined amount of parts later.  If you are interested in the next rodeo: August 31st is the next date.

May 23-26: Food Truck Events

Hey fellow wanderers!

I know there are few events out there and most have been reported by Triangle Explorer. Unfortunately (for the sake of this weekly post), I had nothing really queued up and I’ve been wandering Seattle, Victoria, and soon Portland. I know rough life. Hopefully you’ve caught a glimpse on the Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. If not, we’ll get up to speed when the posts are finished.

Here are some things I had on my Festival calendar, as well as, a Tweet from Triangle Explorer and Captain Ponchos.

Friday, Sol Tacos will be at the only Holly Springs and Triangle’s only all women-owned brewery, Bombshell Brewery. Also, Deli-icious, Bull City Brewery, and Papa Mojo’s will be a Northgate Mall for Blues on the Plaza. Jimi King Trio will perform that night.

Saturday, Chai’s Global will be at Raleigh Brewing, Captain Ponchos will be at Fullsteam in Durham for dinner, as well as Belgian Waffology will be at Sub Noir in Raleigh.

Living Word Family Church in Wake Forest is having a Food Truck Rodeo. Baguettaboutit, Baton Rouge Cuisine, D’Burritos, and Jam Ice Cream will be there.

Sunday, Belgian Waffology will be at Deep River Brewing.

It’s the Fourth Sunday in the month and Ornamentea has their monthly Pop-Up. This Sunday Stuft will be there, which is another hot (potato) truck.

And for Memorial Day, Sol Tacos will be at Tucker Lake in Benson. Hope it’s a Great day to be on the lake.

As always, I like to attach when I can Triangle Explorer’s weekend post. You can find his weekend picks here. If you looking for some other events, check it out.

Please feel free to comment below if you have food truck events not mentioned. I apologize on any spelling or grammar mistakes. I normally refrain from posting remotely, but I wanted to post something.

Keep Wandering and please remember those who served this weekend,
